In my opinion, , 12 hours is plenty of battery life.
It is the user's responsibility to keep track of what state their battery is
in before recording lengthy projects.
You could have a 24 hour battery but it wouldn't help if you started
recording when it was left with only a couple hours of charge when you
started.

I've made that same mistake, so I always make sure I have enough of a charge
before starting any project.

I'd much prefer HIMS spend their energy getting the few issues resolved and
adding DRM support.

Just my two cents worth and it didn't cost anyone even that, grin.

Yes and hopefully HIMS will improve on battery life with future firmware
adaptations.

I was trying to record somethihn gon Sunday that was about 3 hours long, and
I was using binaural microphones. Unknown to me, the BookSense's battery
died about 2:30 into the recording. I think we need to have some knod of
vibrator in the BookSense that will let someone know when the battery is
running low while recording. Luckily, the recording that I made was saved to
the SD card even when the battery died. I had left the BookSense on for a
while before starting it, so that's why the battery ran down. This is still
a concern I have. I'd love to see a future improvement to the hardware that
would allow a vibrator to be put in the BookSense.
