Actually, I do have some hearing problems which is why I purchased the Book
Sense. It is far better in this regard than the Stream was for me. I do
agree that the NLS volume could stand to be brought up to be more in line
with the TTS voice, but I have managed all right. I am able to listen to the
Book Sense without absolutely having to plug into an external speaker
set-up.

I think the speakers are more then adequit as far as loudness goes.
IN fact, they already distort at or near the highest volume settings. Now

I certainly agree that the volume for NLS and other daisy audio
content needs to be louder. However, I would like the volume for
regular audio books to be louder as well for some of these the volume
is very soft. It would be nice if GW can have the volumes for the tts,
radio, daisy audio, and regular audio to be separate. This would allow
for one thing to be louder than the other so that each content can be
as loud as it can be.
