I have been reading DAISY format books once again from BookShare and have also experienced shut-off with both a good battery and on AC power.

I am still not so sure what to think about DAISY text format. I am managinbg with it which, for me, is the main thing, but my impression is that the format itself is not standard enough to be reliable, i.e. I am not convinced it is totally a Book Sense total issue.

Yes, I have a few times. In one of Raul's posts, he said to check the status of the battery when this happened. When the BookSense powered itself off this last time, the battery was at level 10.

I was reading a Bookshare Daisy book when the BookSense turned itself off. The battery was fully charged. I think the file itself was problematic. I kept losing my place when I would go to another book. I had to remember to set a bookmark if I wanted to go to where I had left off reading. The book was 401 pages. I don't know whether size was a factor. The book was: The Last Word: book 2 in the Sophie Trace Trillogy by Kathy Herman.

Another strange thing. Several times while listening, the reading would stop, and the BookSense would beep just as it does when loading a file.

If you need further info, let me know.
