Sandy,

Was that a typo or are you seriously saying that the book Sense can take
approximately 3 minutes just to navigate to another page? I can understand
why some people think their unit has locked up if that is the case. Most
books I read tend to be in the 400-600 page range. Hopefully this is one of
the issues on the "to do" list - that could be a real impediment to
interacting with a book.

I did notice in the early demo podcasts from GW Micro that it seemed to take
a long time just to open up a book. What happens when one jumps from book
to book as might be done when trying to compare two documents, doing
research, homework, etc.? Has this been an issue?

I'm still on the fence about buying this unit. Although it seems to have
great potential, I'm concerned about the problems people who own these units
have and the speed with which the issues are being addressed. But, for the
time being, I've decided to be patient and see what the next update brings.

Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] Lock-Up on Page Navigation

I haven't actually had the BookSense lock up when navigating to a
certain page, but sometimes it takes a long time to get there! I
mean, about 3 minutes or so. I think this has something to do with
the size of the book. The book I am talking about was approximately 450
pages.

Turn right, then go straight!

         Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the
Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to
give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me,
and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital
necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you
from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places
to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back
to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
