Hello. yes, it remembers where you left off. This is the same as pressing the power off button while you are playing a book or music.

Many thanks.

Okay. So if you set the sleep timer and the Book Sense shuts off, will it
remember where I left off? Thanks. I really haven't tried the sleep timer
with my Book Sense, because I'm afraid that it won't remember where I left
off in the audio book. Thanks.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] new BookSense firmware teaser number 3

I was going to only send out one per week, but i figured that since last
Thursday was teaser number 1, I should keep the Thursday pattern.

Teaser number 3 involves the sleep timer. Yes folks, the sleep timer.
Currently in the 1.1 firmware you are limited to things like 15 minutes,
30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, ETC. But what if you want 45 minutes? What
if you want 33 minutes?

With the new firmware which will be released soon, you can now enter in
the amount of sleep you want. What's even better is that you don't need
to go into the menus if you don't want to. All you have to do now is
press and hold the number 4 key for 2 seconds and an edit box will pop
up and ask you for the sleep timer interval. Using your BookSense
keypad, type a number like 3, 5, 33, 48, or 65 and press the pound/ok
button. The BookSense sleep timer will be set to that amount and you can
now read in peace.

But wait! There's more. What if you set the sleep timer to 35 minutes,
but 20 minutes later you decide that you won't fall asleep for another
40 minutes after. Simply press the number 4 key for 2 seconds and key in
your new sleep timer value and press the pound/ok button and the sleep
timer will reset to the new value.

if you decide that sleeping is not in the stars for you this go round,
simply key in a 0 and the sleep timer will be disabled.

We don't yet have a release date for the firmware, but we are working
hard to make it a good one.

Many thanks.
