Hi. So if you follow your own steps while using firmware 2.0, is it
fixed? have you tried this? In addition, you can always save your settings and restore them if necessary in case of a lock up.

many thanks.

Hello. Well I only used mp3 recording format with the 1.1 FW and was
assured to have problems with recording voice using internal mike
(never used line in) as well as recording radio. The bug (i assume it
is a bug) manifested in weird but predictable symptoms. sometimes
when I would hit the on/off button there would be no voice feedback
'stop recording' and the device would just seem to lock up. then some
random button presses including the mode, on/off, lock etc would seem
to miraculously bring it back to life. the recorded mp3 file would
either not show up at all in the radio or record folder or it would
show up but not play nor would that file play on my PC using a
totally diff media player app. The only way to get recording to work
again would be painful process of resetting the unit and loosing all
my personal settings. Which is lame on so many levels including the
fact I have to carry around a toothpick with my>$400 XT. However,
after fixing the problem it would most assuredly repeat and manifest
again after few recordings and I'd be forced to go through the whole
fixing cycle again with the toothpick being the Excalibur. Honestly
I'm just afraid to use record any more until Raul and GW acknowledge
thi record bug, assure us this is a genuine issue and at least tell
us if its been fixed in FW2.0. I'd rather know GW's response to these
3 points than not and then use that to use the record feature or not
use it at all in fear of messing my experience up.

booksense recording bug

Hello Brandon. We fixed a problem where if you are recording in wav
and then pressed the key lock switch, it would not record even though
you thought it was recording. if this is the one you refer to, then
yes, if you are talking about something else, then if you give me
some steps, I can verify. However several recording issues were fixed
under the hood. So it's a good chance that it was.

many thanks.

hi all, does anyone know if the recording bug that was in 1.1 where
it would act like it recorded a file but it really didn't has been
