Hi! I think those buds you get free with stuff, including booksense, are useless to a lot of people. I never even open those earphones any more, and either throw them away immediately or try to find them a new home as soon as possible with people who aren't particularly picky about stuff like that. I got my mom a Sansa clip for Christmas, not even thinking that she'd ever want head phones with it since she wears 2 hearing aids; I got her a nice set of speakers to go with it. Anyway, a couple of days later, she was telling me how the earphones just didn't fit her ears. I happened to have a spare pair of my beloved Sonys lying around because I had just purchased the upgraded design which I provided the link to in a previous message. Long story a bit shorter, the Sonys fit mom too, and she likes them almost as much as I do. I'm not quite sure what I think of the new improved version; the wire is easier to work with, but the buds themselves have also been slightly redesigned and don't seem to fit quite as well as they used to. The sound is noticeably better, though, and in all fairness, I haven't had much reading time, so haven't had much chance to get used to the new design. Anyway, sorry to ramble. I just wanted to agree with you that the earphones that come with booksense are uncomfortable and don't fit. Missy
