I bought a pair of the Bose ear buds from Hong Kong last spring. They weren't quite as expensive as the ones you can buy in the U.S. They sound great, and they definitely fit!

Hi! I definitely thought about getting the Bose headphones, but didn't know if they were the same style as the sonys, and for the price, I was afraid of taking the chance. What I like about the sonys is that they're really really tiny and fit my ears way better than anything else I've ever seen. Something like the buds that come with booksense or with anything else for that matter is that they just don't fit my ears and I can't hear them. So, I would have tried the Bose, but didn't want to spend a fortune on headphones only to discover I can't use them. I have Bose media mate speakers on my computer, though, and wouldn't trade them for the world. In fact, I got my hands on a second pair of media mates which I have hooked up to the dvd/vcr combo in my bedroom. It isn't home theater, but it will certainly do in a pinch. (smile)

Along with those as an option, I have the lighter version of the Bose noise cancelling head phones which I have been very pleased with. They do not have separate controls either, but I have one bad ear and one fairly good ear and do all right with these. I have a pair of the ear buds also by Bose which I carry in my purse, though I don't think I would purchase those if you can get ear buds that work well at a lesser cost. I tried them because of my hearing situation. They are all right for some things and not for others. The problem with the Bose products is that they are a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth considering under certain circumstances.

I'm extremely partial to some Sony ear buds I started using about 6 years ago. In fact, I could never go the bluetooth headphones route unless I knew that the bluetooth buds were designed exactly the same as these are. The ones I use don't have volume control on the earbuds themselves, but they have excellent sound quality.
I'll provide a link in case you want to check them out.

My mom has major hearing loss as well, and has also become quite fond of these particular buds.
Good luck, and I hope this helps!

I wondered if someone could recommend a good set of headphones to use with the booksense. I have a hearing loss on one side so if there were some with independent volumes on each side that would be great. Are there any out there with good sound in the highs as well as bass? Thanks.

Pam
