You can always use the sleep timer as a timer too. If you're awake already, no big deal. If you're asleep, then you probably want the alarm to wake you up and tell you when the time has expired I'd think.

I also have the problem where cancel or okay don't turn the alarm off unless you press it more than once. I agree with the post about the music. I'l add: Songs that play great on various mp3 players sound awful on the BookSense, even having a high-pitched whine. I'd love to be able to use it exclusively for music, but not as it is now. Since some of us use the alarm kind of as a timer and not always for the purpose of waking up, could that annoying "wake up" be
