Hello Karly. The Audible files are just like mp3 files. This means that if you press play on one file, only that one file will play. So if your book is in 2 parts, only the one part will play. If however you place both parts in one folder and press play on the folder instead of on the file, then everything in the folder will play, one right after the other. So if you are doing it this way, I.E. playing the folder, you can move forward by track and if you are on part 1, it will move you to part 2. Regardless of whether you play a single file or a folder containing multiple files, the move by percent with number 8 key will apply, and so will the move by section. However as others have said, the section mark up for Audible books differs between books. If the mark up is good, then moving by section takes you to each new section or chapter. However if not, then using this feature might move you 2 or 3 chapters ahead. In all cases, you can always go to the beginning or the end of a part by choosing beginning/end from the up arrows and then left for beginning or right for end.

Feel free to check out section 4.2 of the BookSense manual for playing files VS playing folders. Also remember that in audio books, anything you play will have its position remembered so the next time you start playing, it will start from where you left off.

Hope this helps.

HI Raul,

So then does this mean if I save it in One folder with all the parts it will
go forward a page or something with the right and left arrow? Or do I still
need to do the 5 tracks, etc. like Tim and Russ said? When I saved the book
to the book sense and turn it on it says it's in 2 parts, or the other book
I was reading only had One part, although I don't think I created their own
folder, they are just separate parts, so maybe I'll create the folder and it
might make a difference...??

Thanks,

Karly.

Hi. If you press play on one file, it will only play 1 file. If you
press play on the folder containing multiple files, it will play all of
them. I usually put all files associated with one book in their own
folder. For example the gathering storm is in 4 parts. I place all 4
parts in their own folder called tgs. Now I press play on the tgs folder
and the entire book is treated as one item.

Hi everyone,

I downloaded a couple books from Audible this past week. My question
is,
when I'm reading the book, how do I go back a track or rewind, or fast
forward? The right and left arrows don't seem to do that. Although
when
I'm reading an RFB and D book I can hit the arrows and it goes back a
page
at a time. Does it depend on how the book is recorded or in what
format?
Is audible just different as far as the tracks?
Thanks for your help.
Karly
