I still think that a braille-like text entry method would be a huge feature. The old Bookports could be used as an emergency notetaker and worked just fine, creating text files that could then be moved to a pc or reviewed on the device itself. This is perfect for those times when you did not bring your extremely expensive braille notetaker and need to quickly write something down, or if you are in a class that ends up traveling a lot (my geology lab did this) and you do not trust your $6,000 notetaker to nature. I also would love to see the xt support bluetooth file transfer, the ability to get a battery percentage while charging (as mentioned by other posters), and support for protected books (also previously mentioned).
