Hi mike,
Thanks a bunch.  My problem was that I did not have the extras manager
installed.  Never needed it before.
A note should beed added to the package noting  that gw tool  kit and the
extras manager is needed to get this script to work.  
Also had no problem telling skype to  allow the wecom to use the skype api.

Thanks again now going to play with the scripts.

Either you don't have the Skype extras which include the Skype COM 
support installed or WE isn't authorized to access Skype's COM 
interface.  Getting an application authorized in Skype can be 
problematic in 3.x especially under Vista, but Skype has improved 
this for the 4.0 betas.
