Can you duplicate this on all of your machines? What version of
Windows are the machines that duplicate it running?

Hello all!
Thanks to a nudge from Don Bishop, I got the voice speed keys changed to
control shift up arrow and control shift down arrow and that's working much
better! Didn't have to change that video stuff!
When using Version 6.1, I set my PC to bring up Window Eyes with the Hot key
Alt control W. When I did so, I'd go into stand by mode and Window Eyes
would go away completely! I'd need to type the hot key sequence and bring
it back again which was fine by me! Since 7.0 beta one, I would put my PC
into stand by. So far so good! When I take it out of stand by mode, I'm
hearing the password prompt which I find most unusual since I don't have
Window Eyes to come up at the log on screen. I type in my password, press
enter and may hear a prompt concerning the status of my wireless connection.
I then go to the desktop and I hear that spoken! When I attempt to go down
the list, I have no more speech it is gone! I can't seem to bring it back
again unless I reboot my computer. It doesn't matter which voice is
functioning, dectalk or eloquence. I haven't completely shut down Window
Eyes, then go into stand by. I suspect that works but just going into stand
by mode with my laptop creates the situation consistently I described above.
How do I solve this?
Eloquence has been working for me all afternoon as I read a good 400 posts.
I should say I acted on that many but didn't read them all (grin smile)! I
too have had eloquence disappear without warning on both my Asus, the PC I'm
using now and a Del laptop. I switched the Del to Dectalk and it doesn't
seem to be having the disappearing speech issues. I of course have
experienced where I need to change the view and the speech interrupts as I'm
going through the message list in Outlook Express.
Any thoughts?
Thanks much!
Jim Aldrich
