Good Day!
On Wednesday I was forced to un-install Window-Eyes 7.0 BETA 1
because it had become unusable and reinstall Window-Eyes 6.1.
Yesterday Windows Automatic Update installed Vista's SP1. And
Voila! the 10 minute it took for Window-Eyes to initialize at the
Windows logon screen seems to be gone (see posting on June 29,
2007 "Vista's winlogon.exe".) Even WE 7 didn't solve the
problem, but had it's own twist as it would announce the
Window-Eyes version then the 10 minute wait before reading the
list box of users.
I know many of you have installed the Service Pack 1 awhile a go,
but Windows Update insisted that it wasn't available to me until
yesterday. I think I am now ready to try 7.0 BETA 1 again as I
already miss "Weather or Not" and "Toggle All punctuation" a most
handy script for us programmers since with one keystroke I can
here structure separate from syntax.
Sincerely,
David Gerry
