Hello:

I realize that alt-f4 closes out of WE but when doing this, nothing
happened but thanks for your thoughts.

hmmm, alt+f4 only works if you are in the window-eyes control panel to
close window-eyes. the command to close window-eyes from anywhere is
insert+ctrl+f4 I believe. I also had problems where non of the
window-eyes hotkeys worked unless i had a program running. the only way
i could get to the window-eyes control panel was to access it from the
task tray and only by tabbing to the task tray from the desktop.
ctrl+backslash wouldn't get me there. i removed window-eyes and
reinstalled it and every thing is fine for now again. now this problem
was withan xp pro system.
