I'm tempted to say that you deserve what you get for using IE in the first place. *grin*
Why don't you use Firefox? It's certainly much faster and less error-prone.
For your IE problem, try alt tab. That might take you out of the crashed IE window into another window where window-Eyes still talks to you.
