We have some ideas on this. Let us know if disabling lvnav helps.

I am not sure if this was the cause, but it seems to help on my system.
Here on windows xp, I had some crashes too with listviews.
Sometimes in explorer, sometimes with Pmmail2000, who is using a
listview or treeview to
display folders.
I have disabled the Lvnav.vbs script in the scriptmanager and it
seems, this helps.
