A boycott would be effective, but it seems that freedom science has a
monopoly when it comes to screen readers. I simply chose WE becuase, it was
less expensive when I first lost my sight, and second, I talked to my rehab
instructor and she indicated that the training would be paid for by the
state of Illinois if I purchased JAWS. I for one like to learn at my own
speed, which I can do with WE. I believe, in all states in the US, that
JAWS training is covered, but WE training is not.

Subject: Building on prior thoughts for action.
Listers,
Seeing that this is a public forum, I would like to recommend some ideas.
Besides wishing GW luck with their legal issue, I would propose that
there is something that we, as users, can do. Here are a few thoughts.
1. Aproach NFB and ACB to see if they would be willing to condemn this
action. Hopefully, in the form of a resolution.
2. Spread word far and wide using as many outlets for blindness issues
as possible.
3. Call, email and/or postal mail FS and let them know how you feel.
4. Avoid FS products where possible. Also, recommend to others that
they do the same.
5. At conventions or seminars, avoid FS booths.
These are strictly my thoughts.
With Warmest Regards.. Joe Lanier
