The converting message is what you should get. It means that the Adobe software is extracting the text which is then loaded into the msaa buffer. The problem starts when the Adobe document contains only graphics. That's when you're likely to get a blank page in the MSAA buffer. With Window-Eyes 7 you get two new features which help with reading Adobe documents. The first is the progress indicator which keeps you informed whether or not you have the progress indicated by the number of pages processed. The second is support for unicode characters. If your Adobe document contains any unicode symbols in v7 you get the proper symbol name read out instead of the old question mark.

You can send me a sample document from the publishers and I'll give it a good scan and send you my feedback.

Yeah well, details huh?
First of all I'm using Window-eyes 6.1. What has happened in the past is that either things just open fine on their own, and that can be great. But other times I get messages like (converting) or something like that and then nothing ever happens. I think that's as about as specific as I can get. Anything else you need me to tell you?

Could you be a little more specific?
Define crappy.

Hi all,
I seem to have crappy results when ever I try to read a PDF.
I'm trying to get a book publisher of Billboard music charts to sell things in an accessable format. They have sent me a sample and I'm curious how I should set up Adobe to have the best chance of making the document work?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Bill
