Hi Jeff,
When you plug the scanner in to a usb port, the scanner will beep and it should
also make windows give you a connect sound. If your getting both of these
sounds, your good to go.
If you have the scanner in the stand, it is in a continuous scan mode. Hold
the item about 6-12 inches away from the scanner and rotate the item until the
scanner beeps. If the scan script is running, you should hear a message in a
second or so.

Subject: ms3780 bar code scanner
I need some help with the ms3780 bar code scanner.
I got the scanner, and the correct usb cable, but I can't get it to scan.
I am using we70 beta1, vista home basic sp1.
I am connected to the internet, plug in the scanner, got the connect usb signal
from windows, launch the bsscan script.
I tried several items and couldn't get the unit to scan.
I tried pressing the big button on the scanner without success.
I've tried the scanner in my hand and on its stand.
What am I missing?
Thanks.
