The problem only started for me after installing the beta, and on 2
machines.  I've taken the beta off one of the machines and guess what, no
shutdown problem any more!

I thought Trendmicro was the problem but removing it didn't solve the
shutdown issue.

This is the exact same problem that I reported 2 weeks ago.  Sorry, but I'm

Subject: Cannot shut down or restart my notebook


Hi all, Beta 2 just wouldn't work properly with Trendmicro so I decided to
uninstall Trend and installed the trial gversion of Nod32. Yes, the beta
works but my notebook will not shut down or restart. To shut down the
computer, I have to press alt-f4, u and then press and release the on/off
switch. Any ideas?
 
Win XP pro sp3 with all updates.
