If you press control-shift-w window eyes will read the screen that will tell
you not to turn off the computer because updates are being installed. If
you wait a bit and check again, it will often tell you what number update of
how many are being installed, 4 of 7 for example. This likely only occurs
about once a month when microsoft issues its new up dates. This usually
happens on the second Tuesday of the month. RD

Subject: Dec talk starts talking at shut down
With beta 2, I've noticed that deck talk starts talking at shut down when
new Windows updates are installing. It will say "application starting"
"arrow". It would be nice if it actually read what was on screen which would
be "do not shut down or turn off computer" "update 1 of X number updates
are being installed".
