yes its harder but you can label the graphics your self.
turn on track mouse with focus. then the mouse will follow the messages.
then use the previous mouse clip or manually move the mouse to the left
until w e says graphic and press control shift e to open the graphic
dictionary and give it a description and save the graphic dictionary.
you can send a message to yourself with and without a attachment so you know
what the graphic used is and label them yourself.

George, I had the same problem you had regarding not being able to
differentiate between read, unread, replied, forwarded, attachments, etc
on my Outlook 07 e-mail. I tried all kinds of settings with my Vista
machine, and I ultimately had my sighted daughter help me label every
graphic. It now even tells me when I have a high or low importance
message come in if I want to hear that.
I know that's decidedly not the answer you want, and there are certainly
ways that you can independently label your graphics without sighted
assistance, but I copped out and caved in, as it were. <smile>
