Generally, podcasts are mp3 files (except for videos).  So, Winamp, 
RealPlayer, Windows Media Player all will nicely play podcasts.

I am assuming that you already have a podcatcher and are talking strictly 
about playback.
For catching purposes, I use both the venerable Juice and now, thanks to 
the recently released iTunes 8 and WE7, iTunes.
