My favorite podcatcher is Juice. You can learn more about Juice -- and download it -- here:

http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/download/index.php

Sarah Alawami did an excellent podcast tutorial a couple of years back on Juice.
Go to

www.blindcooltech.com

and search for the phrase

juice tutoriall.

It's dated 6/6/2206 and it will give you a good running start
 in getting more
out of Juice.
This is how I initially began with the program.

I am currently using iTunes strictly for the podcasts that require iTunes for downloading.

Both are excellent programs and, if you are comfortable in exploring software and menus, you should have little difficulty in figuring out the basics. Both are powerful and flexible programs. Neither requires any set files to use. Juice follows conventional Windows menu structures.
ITunes will require you to use both menus and the mouse keys.
 .

My relationship with God begins with trust.
It also continues in trust.
