If you don't have any options set then when you go to the login
screen WE will unload and then when you go back to the desktop after
entering your password WE should be unloaded so you could then press
control-alt-w to load it. This is done because WE won't read the
login desktop correctly when it is loaded on the default desktop that
you get while logged in and it is also done for security purposes.

FWIW, I do find it more stable with eloquence, and more stable with xp.
