This is really frustrating as we just are not seeing this with our
Tripletalk USB.

While I haven't experienced the stability issues that other people are
reporting, I find your observations about the TrippleTalk interesting
because my TrippleTalk still continues to be sluggish with WE 7.0 with
Windows Vista. Here are just a few places where I notice it most. In
windows explorer any folder you open and try and move through the listview
TrippleTalk lags. In Windows update under Windows Vista, tab to the view
available updates link and press enter. Shift-tab to get into the list of
updates and try to arrow using up and down arrows to quickly move through
the updates. With TrippleTalk it is sluggish. I am quite certain it is not
my computer as I do regular maintenance and it didn't happen with 6.1 at
all. DECtalk and eloquence do not seem to have this issue I'm not sure why
but it started happening with beta 3. This is a TrippleTalk USB. I was
thinking of doing a reinstall of Windows Vista as I'm having some other
issues too but I haven't gotten around to it yet, and I'm not sure if that
would fix this particular problem. I don't know how much help this is but
that's what I've noticed.

After blowing away and installing we 7 on a clean xp image, I am
convinced that there are performance hits and stability issues with we.
I can run we6.1 with sapi and get fast performance and no crashes
except the once in a blue moon we always get in windows and the
corruption that comes from running any screen-reader.
But with 7.1 even with tripple-talk we feels squashy. And it's just
not my snappy we I'm used to.
Turning off scripting and such all help a little bit, but I believe
it's something in the core gw just hasn't nailed down yet.
Or they know about it and just aren't admitting it 'grin'.
Just kidding hehehehehehae.
We'll just keep encouraging them to fix it.
