I think that perhaps one of the problems here is that the scripts included
in the initial cd burn have turned out to be less than optimum and,
therefore, have been updated and replaced on the website.
If these old versions continue to be shipped out the door or are the ones
that get downloaded with initial installs, this issue will not go away.
What may be needed, as updating scripts on shipments would be a logistical
nightmare, is either making the default to have scripting turned off on
the install or build-in an automated downloading mechanism that force
updates certain vital scripts or perhaps both.
No one I am certain envisioned this to be a problem; but as users have
discovered either turning scripting off or updating certain key scripts
solves most of these reported issues.
I had loads of problems upon the initial install of 7.0.
With some of the original scripts updated, WE7 is working much like 6.1
hanging occasionally (at times of high processor use) but 99.999% of the
time working flawlessly.
This is not your department, Raul, I well realize; but the sales and
marketing folks are going to have to figure out how to deal with shipped
scripts.

everything,
making the most even of scanty blessings.
