Well, the presentation would be optional. WE would ship with the classic
presentation set on by default.

Safari works this way on the mac but the implementation isn't very
good yet. I agree, I think it's a great idea to move away from
something like a browse mode, but it looks very difficult to implement
and very hard to learn for a fare number of blind people.

Hey all, I have some feature suggestions for the next version of
Window-eyes besides scripting improvements.
1. I think Window-eyes should support ARIA live regions.
2. I think Window-eyes should include an optionall "as is"
presentation mode for browsing the web in Internet Explorer and
Firefox3 without a virtual buffer and brows mode. In this
presentation, Window-eyes would present the page to the user as it is
laid out on the screen. So for example, multiple links on one line on
the screen would appear as such to the user. This would be
advantageous to some users, because it would allow them to use
Firefox's built in quick navigation hotkeys and it wouldn't severely
alter the browser's behavior.
So for example, suppose I know the word "test" is on a link I want. I
could just type "test" and hit enter, and Firefox would click it.
Also, for phages thatconstnatly refresh themselves, the virtual
buffer wouldn't constantly be toggled on and my position lost.
