Lets first set the menu to advanced.
Open the control panel.
This is done with control back slash.
Now press alt+l and then enter.
Select advanced from the drop down list box and press enter.  
Press escape to close the control panel and then control back slash to open
it again.  You should have all the menu settings.  
Oh if any one cares I hate this feature.  If it went away I wouldn't cry.
