We are not seeing this with any synthesizer.

Well now that I've had a few days to road test 7.1 I thought I'd
post a few comments.
firstly the positive things. Unicode support has meant that Turkish
characters are being read correctly by WE and thus by the Akapella
Turkish speech synth that I am currently testing.
Secondly, I absolutely love the Winamp script. So well done to the
author and to GW Micro for introducing scripting. I have to admit I
was one of those who thought that scripting wasn't going to benefit
me very much and although its unlikely that I'll ever write a
script I'm already seeing the benefit. Now I just need to get
someone to write a script for my Turkish/English, English/Turkish
dictionary. Smile.
Unfortunately I do have to be critical though. Frankly I'm amazed
that this version of Eloquence ever got through to the final
version of WE. Cursoring up and down list views, and this is
particularly noticeable in outlook express is unacceptably slow.
Pressing the delete key when in a mail box usually results in a
second delay before WE reads the next message. Sometimes when
hitting the escape key twice to stop read to end and exit a message
only results in read to end being interrupted with the email
message remaining open. Its almost as if the computer has slowed
down. When exiting a message if I press the delete key too quickly
the message is not actually deleted.
I've also noticed WE hanging in both email messages and on the
internet. Sometimes I am able to exit WE and restart it, but
sometimes I have to shut down the computer because I can't get WE to close.
This eloquence slowness has really got to be solved quickly as its
having a major impact on efficiency. I'm not terribly keen on any
of the other synths I have and use eloquence as my speech of
choice. I have a version of Jaws on my computer and a version of
K1000 and have never experienced this problem before.
I am sure GW Micro will fix it, I just hope its soon.
Yusuf
