One sometimes has to be careful when deleting from HTML messages. Breaking them can cause a lot of extraneous code ending up in the displayed body of the message. You will know you are in an HTML message because the edit keys don't read the contents well when you try to edit. When I encounter such a message, I forward it as an attachment. The names will still be there; but they'll be in the heading where people don't have to listen to them.
The real solution is for people who forward messages to everyone in their address book to put those addresses in the BCC field. Some mailers, by default, don't even make their BCC field available. The easiest way to do this is to arrow down to the first line that you want to keep. Then hit control shift home and then delete. That will first highlight and then delete the addresses in the top part of the message your forwarding. You may have to do the same thing at the bottom of the message, as sometimes there is lots of unnecedssary stuff at the bottom of some messages. After the last line of text that you want to forward, hit control shift end and then delete to remove the unwanted part at the end of the message your forwarding. When someone sends me an email with pictures, I would like to send it on to someone else using Outlook Express. But, if it has the names of fifty other people it was sent to, how do I get rid of all the names and just send the picture using Window-eyes. Some links in the body of the email may be to people who were sent the email and some links may just say click here. For instance, after reading the message, I turned of browse mode, did a shift-tab twice which brought me to something that said click here. Then I entered on it, did an alt-d to get the address and did a control-c to copy the address to the clipboard. Then I pasted the address from the clipboard into an email and sent it to my sighted wife. All she got were the words "click here." So, I must be off track somewhere. Thanks for your help.
