I would recommend that you try downloading the upgrade file again.

It sounds like it might be a corrupt download.

You might also want to use the emergency removal tool, and remove the
version of window-eyes you currently have, and reinstall it, and then run
the upgrade again.

These are just guesses, because I have not seen this particular problem.
when installing window-eyes 7.01, or any other version for that matter.

I hope it helps.

Subject: Unable to Install 7.01

Hello, I'm a bit behind I admit, but I have tried twice so far to install
version 7.01 without success. I installed 7.0 correctly, but I keep getting
a message saying that it has been determined that I cannot install 7.01 with
the existing version of Window Eyes that I have. The only option I get is
the okay button. When I hit the okay button to abort the installation of
7.01, I get a message from Windows telling me that the program did not
install properly and asking me if I want to install using recommended
settings, the program has installed correctly, or close the box. The first
time I just closed the box. The second time I chose install with recommended
settings, but nothing happened that I could hear. I'm definitely running
version 7.0 though. I am sure of that. I have two SMA's remaining, although
7.01 isn't supposed to use one anyhow.

Anyone got any ideas as to what is going on? The GW Micro site says I
already own 7.01 when I check via the update section in the help menu.

Thanks for any suggestions. I'd like to finally get up do date.

Evan
