Actually you just explain the specs and what a better spec net book has out
performed a lesser model.

The HP had better memory, hard drive, and memory. Plus Windows pro instead
of Home. That tells you which is the better.

Subject: Re: the new micro laptops

I spent several hours today with a HP 2133 Mini Note and a Dell Mini 9. The

HP has a very nice keyboard, and the speakers are located along each side of

the monitor. With a 160 GB hard drive, 1.75 GB of RAM, and Windows XP Pro.
It also has a light metal case. This is a very nice little 10 inch laptop,
and certainly wouldn't make a bad laptop for a lot of people.

On the other hand the Dell was a bit smaller, not quite as thick as the HP,
but there is no function key row so any time you want a function key you
have to press the FN key along with one of the letters on the home row such
as FN + ALT + F for Alt F4. It is also necessary to press the FN key to
change the same key from period to slash, which is a bit painful when you
forget. The speaker is small and sounds very cheap. But, what surprised me

most was that the Dell with a 1.6 processor and solid state memory did not
seem to perform as quickly as the HP with a 1.2 processor and a 160 hard
drive. So, it tells me that just looking at specs isn't going to tell the
whole story about these little computers.
