I completely uninstalled 6.0 and then attempted to install 7.01 and it presented the following message. You must have window-eyes 6.1 or 7.0 installed to install this update. The installation will abort. I'd rather do this without having to purchase a disk. I even tried saving the 7.01 upgrade locally in my documents to make it easier to memorize where it was since I'd have to install without having speech to help me locate the file. Wish it wasn't so difficult to perform this update especially since I already purchased 7.0. The major reason I decided to uninstall were I had many problems with it over the first month and a half many system hangs and speech would completely stop had to keep hard rebooting my machine to get it to come back. Have any of you noticed an improvement on this in the 7.01 update? Any help you can provide is appreciated. You can uninstall 6.0 and then install 7.01. Regards Jitendra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: Dave Leggio [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2008 11:57 AM To: [email protected] Subject: window-eyes 7.01 Hello everyone, I purchased window-eyes 7.0 when it was first released. Due to some problems it was presenting to my system lots of interrupted speech and having to hard reboot my system I uninstalled it and went back to win-eyes 6.0 I now figured since 7.01 is out i'd give it another try. When I attempted to reinstall 7.01 since I'm currently running 6.0 it wouldn't let me and I didn't order the cd with the initial order of 7.0 wold I be able to download a demo copy and install the full version of 7.01 over that? Any help you guys can provide is much appreciated. Thanks, Dave If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
