Hi, I have run into this problem when having Lotus Notes and it's instant messenger program running. One thing that kinda helped was to minimize everything using windows-m and alt-tabbing to the application I need to use.
Oh, btw, to get to the task mangler, its ctrl-alt-delete. Regards.. If your PC is clean from malware and the such, then the challenge is trying to find out which process is taking up a lot of your CPU cycles. Under the performance tab you will get some system information. Here you will need to use your mouse keys to read the text.
