Hi all, something I should have said when I uploaded this e-book:
it's a book written for sighted people. it's not a tutorial written for screen reader users. I think most screen reader users would benefit much more from buying a tutorial written for screen reader users from somewhere like Access Technology Institute. an e-book such as this is probably more beneficial as a follow-up, after you've learned to use a software package with your screen reader. hth, Chip ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission [email protected] (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.) > -----Original Message----- > From: Chip Orange [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 1:25 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: Word 2007 tutorial? > > It's a .chm file, and windows has a built-in reader for that > file type. > for instance, the window eyes help file is a .chm file > > some people are having troubles though; I remember seeing various > reasons why someone might not be able to read a .chm file, so > I'll need > to go track down the answer for that, and I'll post it here (unless > someone else knows?) > > to read it, you should just be able to open it in windows explorer by > pressing enter on it. > > hth, > > Chip > > > > > > > ------------------------------ > > Chip Orange > Database Administrator > Florida Public Service Commission > > [email protected] > (850) 413-6314 > > (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not > necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.) > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Pat Ferguson [mailto:[email protected]] > > Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 10:29 AM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: RE: Word 2007 tutorial? > > > > Dear Chip, > > > > I'm getting this right now. > > > > What do I need to read this file.
