Hi Ray. Windows Live Mail is great if you are using XP. It's very much the
same as Outlook Express. If you are running Windows live Messenger at the
same time or even in the background, You will get announcements when you get
e-mails in your inbox. Window-Eyes will announce who the sender is. This is
why I have switched clients from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail. Give it
ago and report back. Remember you must have the messenger up and running and
you need to login to the messenger for you to get e-mail alerts. I don't
understand why you have to log in to messenger to benefit from e-mail alerts
but that's how they've programmed it. Even if you don't have a Hotmail
address just create one for the sake of getting e-mail alerts from your
normal account. You don't have to add this Hotmail account to the e-mail
client it's just something to sign in to. I hope this makes sense.

Guess WLM equals Windows Live Messenger? I haven't use the program - and
if
some one would tell me the advantages I'd be greatful - but does it work
OK
with W-E under XP?

Hi when using Vista WE7 can crash the program at anytime. I then get a
dialog asking me if I want to close the program and restart. wE then just
runs as usual. This behavior is randam. I am running 2GB of ram.
