Hi, I believe it is because when you arrow to a new verse, they try to keep a full page by adding another verse to the bottom of the screen. This, in effect, re-paints the screen which would disrupt the normal read-to-end function. This has been a problem for several recent releases. The way I read it is to go to the verse I want and arrow down once or twice and let it read the full screen on its own. Then I page down and it will read the next and successive screens. HTH Cliff
