Larry, the problem is the .doc file extention is associated with MS Office and you have to unassociate it for this behaviour to stop.
I look forward to learning how one does this as I'm not up to speed on exactly how you do this, but it isn't that hard. Think you right click on a .doc file and choose open with and you can unsellect Office as the Default or something. Ray. Larry wrote: Hi. I can see that there are 18 items available under choose programs, but the ony one that Window-Eyes will speak is Microsoft Office. Using Vista, is there a way to get Window-Eyes to speak all items? I also attempted to open the file from within Jarte, but when doing what one would normally do to view a file list, all I see are choices like A to H I to Q, etc. Pressing enter on any of these choices doesn't seem to help.
