i just finished listening to the Giants/Brewers game. All I did was to go to www.mlb.com/mediacenter. i clicked the link for skip to main content. The games were listed there. I found the Giants/Brewers game and clicked on the "Watch" link. i was prompted to log in with Email address and password. The game started playing. Can't be simpler than that.

Ok now you are asking for this one. Inaccessibility is not what you find
or I find user friendly this is subjective. I personally see nothing what so
ever wrong with the log in structure here. accessibility means simply this.
can you get the information you need. That is all it means. It doesn't
mean do you like where they put it. it doesn't mean I like the page layout.
It is simply the link has a label and can be found.
Now let's talk about making the page audio friendly whatever that means
verses viewer friendly. Um look at what you are paying for game day audio.
$15 a year. Some of these TV subscriptions are $219 a year and they get
more of the video subscribers then they do the audio subscribers. See a c
net article that talks about this very thing. So if they didn't cater to
the viewer there would be something majorly wrong. It is attitudes like
this that set straight forward access back. This whole access is more
important then everything else. Oh and if I don't like where they put
something then I cry inaccessibility. Oh and it's no harder to log on to
the mlb web site than any other page I have seen. The extra work as you put
it simply marks spots on the page to make finding it faster and easier. I do
this extra work on every domain I go to often. Like the ap site I mark text
at the start of a story msnbc new the same thing major geeks the start of
the download for the program I want etc. extra work I think not. Stop
asking everyone to hold your hand and live in the real world of the
internet. A grain place for access but designed for sited people buy
sighted people with your screen reader giving you the tools you need for
access. Now when you find a site that the screen reader tools can't access
then you have a real issue and I am all for working to make that site
accessible. The mlb site is not one of these how-ever. Now the flash
player portion access is a problem because none of the buttons have labels.
Gw micro and other access venders need to contact them and direct them to
the guide lines for accessible flash. Once this is done and if they show
no interest in fixing it then maybe a access campaign cainpain should be
mounted. You know what though. Mlb probably will say thank you very much
and fix the problem. Now please god let of have some english archives I
want to see joe sonders pitch a shutout.

Rich kurlander here, I don't feel that you should have to do all this
work to log in to a site. Mlb should have the site accessible there are
enough blind people who pay to listen to the games. The old way was
much better. I just had to use my find feature to find watch/listen and
then the calendar. I think blind people should really get after mlb for
changing the page every year and making the page viewer friendly
instead of audio friendly.

Subject: the mlb web site!

I am sure that the people out there who are not baseball fans are
probably sick of hearing about this. Don't worry, this post is not a
rant about the inaccessibility of the major league baseball website, in
fact, I find the
website to be quite accessible. apart from the rather annoying
glitches,
which I'm sure will be ironed out soon, The product is quite usable. of
course, I am not one of these people that generally jumps on the
accessibility bandwagon at the drop of a hat.
The purpose of this post is to illustrate the usefulness of Window-Eyes
place markers.
When you first go to the major league baseball website. The first thing
you need to do is log in. So you use the Window-Eyes search command to
find the login link. set a place marker At this point, I recommend that
you make it pertain to the entire domain. I would also make this place
marker read only one line. well after you have set the place marker.
You can press enter on the login link to get to the login page. Now,
you will need to find the e-mail edit box to do this. use the control
search feature of Window-Eyes to find the second edit box now set a
place marker on the line above the edit box so when you get here you
know what it is for. I would make the marker for this web page only and
I would have it read 2 lines.
so when you move to this marker window-eyes will say e-mail edit box. so
you arrow in to the edit box and feel out the form.
now you are good to go logged in. now I also set a place marker on the
web site that follows for game day audio so once again make it read only
one line. make it for the domain. finely I set a place marker for
standings on the next page making it for the domain once again and one
for game day audio making it for the domain. these markers read only
one line.
now you got hot keys to go to all of these things you can change the
order etc. this shows how accessible and easy to use window-eyes makes
things.
hope this helps.
Oh now the rant part archive the english feeds for god sake. Man it
makes me want to learn Spanish.
