Guys. Just something simple. What I have now, is an old tv
radio that's 35 years old. One for a night stand. I just
wish they would come out with one that is digital. That's
all. The only jack on this thing I have is an earphone jack.
I don't want one for the stereo, or the computer1 Just
something real simple to have in my bedroom.

Hi Sandra,
You can use the sound output of any converter which you find
accessible, and feed it into any amplifier (such as a home
stereo). this means that any converter at all is in effect a
digital tv radio.
there was one, being sold in the UK so I don't know about
it's availability here in the states, which was designed for
those with low or no vision. it had special buttons to
activate the SAP audio for instance, so that you didn't have
to work your way through menus.
I think it was the TVonics mdr-250; it was the subject of a
recent email from one of those news clip services reporting
items of interest to the VI community.
it's true it's not also an fm radio, but it is an answer to
this problem.
hth,
Chip
