Hi all. I installed version 1.3 of the Winamp script about two weeks ago, and I've had some serious problems since. I reported the main issue I've seen to the developer, but so far he can't duplicate it. I thought I'd run it by the list; see if any of you have seen this behavior as well.
I've got Winamp 5.5.52 set to have a system tray icon, so I can minimize it and get it out of the tab order. However, when I press alt, arrow down to minimize, and hit enter, I instantly lose speech. I do have Wesounds installed, but neither it nor Windows itself makes an error sound, and obviously I can't tell if there's an error messagebox without speech. The only thing I can do when this happens is to reboot the machine (fortunately I can get to shutdown/restart without speech). I've removed the Winamp script, and when I minimize Winamp with the steps above, no dump of speech. Reinstall the script and minimize, poof bye bye speech. I've got this issue on both my XP Pro and Vista HP machines, both running Winamp 5.5.52, WE 7.01 with MSTTS 4.0, and the same exact scripts running. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the .wepm file for the last version I had before I upgraded to 1.3, so now I'm stuck with a script that keeps crashing me. If anybody has the .wepm file for the last version of the script, please send it to me off-list. Jason Symes I'd hate to die twice. It's so boring.
