Hi all, when you're in Word, and you have the MS Word script installed, it was mentioned to me that many Word users do not know what the window eyes feature called the "format alert" is. my instructions for the script mention that it needs to be turned on in order to get the extra info spoken. this allows you to go through a document and not hear this extra info by turning off the format alert.
you turn it on or off with control-shift-alt F. The window eyes format alert is a feature, which like my script, gives you additional formatting info for your Word document. this feature is documented in the section of the window eyes manual on working with Word, particularly the last section or two about additional info for working with Word. anyone working with Word documents should be familiar with the format alert. after you turn it on, if you want it to always default to on, you should save your Word set file. hth, Chip ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission [email protected] (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.) > -----Original Message----- > From: Chip Orange [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 12:01 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: release of MS Word script > > Hi all, > > if you're a MS Word user, you may be interested in a > > new script I just released. > > > > the script will speak to you advanced formatting features in > your document, > > as you arrow through it, when they change. these are features > such as line > > spacing, space before, space after, keep with next, keep > together, etc., and > > the outline level. it also enables the display of comments if > a document > > contains comments. > > you can go directly to the script at: > > http://gwmicro.com/scripts/MS_Word > <http://gwmicro.com/scripts/MS_Word> > > Comments and suggestions for additional features are welcome. > > > > Chip > > > > > > > > ------------------------------ > > Chip Orange > Database Administrator > Florida Public Service Commission > > [email protected] > (850) 413-6314 > > (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and > do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public > Service Commission.) > > > > > > If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original > sender only.
