I've been having a new problem lately. We edit some long and very complex documents at work that are full of tables. Until I got my new laptop I would have to turn the Word document features off, because it would make the computer extremely slow. Now I am able to leave them on and things work pretty well, but a new wrinkle has developed. When I am typing inside a table cell, WE announces the page number at seemingly random points. This is not because my typing has caused Word to go to the next page. It does appear to have something to do with the table resizing itself (auto fit to text is on.) Not only do I hear the current position in the current document repeated, it tells me the page numbers in every document I have open, or at least another 1 or 2 of them. I'll here, Page 45 of 62, page 1 of 2, and even page 0 of 0 all at the same time. Any ideas on controlling this short of turning off the word special features again? These documents have been my bane for years and I'd love to share one with GW for analysis but I'd have to take the time to scrub all the text lest I find myself in trouble for baring company secrets.
