I got in too big of a hurry. I meant to provide that info. I'm running WE 7.01 and Office 2007. Thanks for the tips. Changing to draft view seems to have cured the problem.

Finally, I'd turn off the vertical and horizontal rulers if they're on; I seem to recall they caused me to have strange random things spoken when displayed. please let us know if any of this helps.
