Hello Everyone, I can confirm these issues in a number of situations. It seems WE 7.1 is unstable when applications become "unresponsive" or otherwise "crash" with various error conditions. I have experienced this when: 1. Outlook Express becomes unresponsive. 2. IE 7 crashes. Unfortunately, I know these issues are *extremely* hard to track down because they often result in a complete restart of the system without collecting error reports and other useful evidence. I have found that, in many cases, I can start up NVDA and recover by closing the offending window. Once the crashed app has been closed, WE usually automatically starts working again. When I am in ie7 and close it with alt-f-4, I loose speech and have to do a restart. Tried having window-eyes exit, but that wouldn't work so had to do the restart.
