hello,

a couple of problems i'm having with we7.1 beta 1 are:
firstly i am getting very slow speech when cursoring left or right in text
pal editor.
it's speaks normally when you cursor up and down by line, but when you try
to cursor across a line a letter or word at a time it goes into slow motion
giving a couple of seconds or so of silence between each character spoken.
this has also happened to me on a couple of occasions when filling in forms
on the web while using the latest version of firefox v3.11
nothing seems to help with this having tried changing the cursor delay
settings.
i have also had where when going into the program menu nothing is named and
wineyes only says one of so many making it impossible to select what your
looking for.
so far closing wineyes and restarting it has enabled the menus to speak
correctly again.
finally and i was getting this problem with v7.01 as well as with v7.1 beta
1 every now and again when i use control-shift-f to do a find while on the
web using firefox i get a complete loss of speech which sometimes i can
resolve by launching NVDA going to windows task manager and closing wineyes
which has a status of not responding and re-launching wineyes again, but
other times when pressing the find command i get the loss of speech and
after a few seconds of silence the computer crashes completely and performs
a re-boot and vista reports that windows has recovered from an unexpected
shutdown once it has rebooted.
i'm using vista home premium on a machine with a 2.6 ghz core 2 processor
with 2gb of ram.

pete gurney.
