I suppose that browse mode handling by GWMicro is the culprit. I see
no difference between WE 6.1 and WE 7.1 when editing a message in
Eudora 7.1.0.9. I continue to rely upon screen refresh functions to
correct a word just entered (voicing by character) to backtrack to a
word misspelling. Without a screen refresh I hear the bonk sound
when backspacing with arrow keys.
Under Eudora I continue to need the screen refresh function when
responding to a message as I did under WE 6.1. The Microsoft Viewer
is enabled under the mail reading section. As I type this, hitting
the 5 key on the Numpad I hear the word "blank". That summarizes the
software appreciation I have gained moving from 6.1 to 7.1.
