Chip,

There's nothing to correct. As you'll note in the script help, automatic updates for the weupdate script are always on and cannot be configured. We feel this script is too important to be able to turn it off. If the update script is out of date, then you risk not being told about Window-Eyes updates, which is what happened prior to version 1.2 of the script. We'd like that not to happen again. Updates to this script are few and far between, not counting the last one.

That being said, I am in the process of developing a solution to only notify you of script updates for a given language. In other words, if you only use the English version, you'll only receive notifications when an English update of the script becomes available. You will not be bothered with notifications of updates for other languages. Same goes for those other languages. I think this is a fair compromise.

Yes, there's an update to the WEUpdate script. Unfortunately, when I
tried to set this script to never check for update I was unable to.
when I pressed the help button, instead of the standard help dialog, I
received a message that I was running the latest version of Window eyes.

Hopefully, Aaron will see this and correct the problem. for now though,
you will need to install the update to avoid this message.

Subject: script updates

This morning I keep getting the message that Swedish and Polish
script updates are available. I hit "close" and the message goes
away. However, When I restarted my computer I got the same message
again. This also happened a third time. I have nothing against the
Swedes or the Poles either, but I don't speak either language, and
doubt that I will in the future. How do I keep this message from
coming back? Maybe there should be another option that says "not
interested" or "don't need it".
